We require a 50% deposit using a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card to initiate your online order. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send written confirmation to ensure your order information is accurate. The remaining balance will be due prior to shipment. When placing your order, you may choose to have your credit card automatically charged for the balance prior to your order’s shipment. Otherwise, we will contact you to arrange payment when your order nears completion. For balance due payments, we accept money orders, personal checks, Visa, and MasterCard.
If your furniture is picked up in North Carolina, we are required to charge 7.0% state sales tax.

At Brian Boggs Chairmakers, we build handcrafted furniture to order. Most orders take 3 to 5 months to build depending on wood selection, degree of customization and current backlogs.
For custom orders, we require a non-refundable $200 design deposit to initiate drawings for your approval. The deposit will be credited to your order. Due to the extra development time involved, lead times on custom-designed pieces are generally 2-4 weeks longer than standard pieces. Changing or Canceling Your Online Order
If you have placed an order that you wish to change or cancel, please contact customer service at 1-828-398-9701. If the order is already in production the deposit received is non-refundable. However if you are looking to make a change, production might be at a place where we can still make minor changes which is why we would prefer to deal with these changes on a case by case basis.
Shipping Your Order
We have been shipping furniture all over the world for years. Your furniture will be carefully wrapped for shipment and delivered by a professional shipping company. Your order may be sent by common carrier if you live in a remote location, have a small order or have special scheduling needs.
Our shipping fees cover our cost only and do not earn Brian Boggs Chairmakers a profit. However, we do charge for packaging and crating your piece(s).
Shortly after your order is placed, you will receive a written order confirmation with an estimated completion date. When your order is complete we will contact you to schedule a date and time for delivery. Delivery takes an additional 1 to 2 weeks depending on your location.
All Brian Boggs Chairmakers furniture is built to last a lifetime with proper care. Should our furniture fail at any time during the life of the original owner because of craftsmanship or a failure of the wood materials, joinery etc., we will either repair or replace it. All seating components such as fabrics, leather, hickory bark, and foam are warranted for a period of 5 years against material failure.
Even after 30 years of woodworking, Brian’s customer satisfaction rate is 100%. If however you should decide to return a piece of furniture for any reason, we will refund the full price once the piece arrives in mint condition (or adjust the refund to account for any necessary repairs or refinishing).
Visiting the Shop
Our combined workshop and gallery can be found in Asheville’s historic Biltmore Village, where you can see (and sit in!) fine handmade furniture, or peek in on the craftsmen at work. We offer a shop tour Monday – Friday at 4:00pm. Drop-ins are welcome, but to make sure someone will be available to assist you, please call ahead at 1-828-398-9701.
