The Boggs Ladderback Rocker has evolved slowly for over two decades every time Brian thought of how to make it more elegant and comfortable. The fine design that has resulted from all his creativity is sure to become an American classic.
Named best rocker in the south by Garden and Gun Magazine and considered by many to be the most comfortable rocking chair made today, it keeps getting better. Each detail is treated to enhance the overall design, from aesthetics to comfort to structure.
The arms for example angle in the front to match the angle of the sitter’s knuckle line when seated. This is important because the jewel-like drawknife cuts just underneath are so irresistible to feel, the knuckles will often be curled around this angled end to enjoy the treat. Such sensual treats abound with this custom seating that we build to comfort you and delight your senses.
Designed by Brian Boggs
“Nearly 20 years ago I borrowed money from my life insurance policy to buy one of Brian’s ladder-back rocking chairs. The chair was to be a Christmas present for my wife. We loved that chair so much that years later we purchased an additional 6 bar stool from Brian to go around our kitchen island unit. I have the great pleasure of eating dinner every night with my family on those chairs. Although all those chairs have aged over the years, I still treasure them toda as much as I did then. Brian has taken a traditional Appalachia ladder-back chair and redefined and reinvented the lines. So much in fact that future generations will recognize that style of chair as his namesake—The “Boggs” chair”.
