In the summer of 2007 Brian spent several weeks designing a new carousel drop-leaf table.  We had had requests before for a drop-leaf table, but he finally found the time to design one that solved all of the problems he associates with traditional drop-leaf designs.

The unique carousel mechanism he designed supports the legs and allows for very fluid movement.  This allows the drop-leaf to have the same feel as his solid top tables in an open or closed position with no play in the legs.

The hardware he needed to accomplish this was simply not on available and as far as he knows has never been made before.  This meant he needed to make all the brass hardware himself.

The result is a beautiful open base that allows for adjustable leg room, seating four, five or six people.

The table was certainly a large part of why we were awarded “Best in Show” in both the Fine Furnishings shows we attended that summer.
