In all furniture forms, a simple mastery of woodworking yields the best-performing designs.  These extension tables are no exception. The fully matched top opens on a wooden track with a steel equalizer. This modified traditional wooden design is built with very stable aged quarter sawn white oak. Careful selection of materials ensures that this precise mechanism will remain fluid in movement for generations.

Underneath the top, the feet join the pedestal with precisely fitted tapered sliding dovetail joints. These joints are reinforced with custom made steel supports to resist any amount of stress applied to the table’s top. Masterful simplicity. No shortcuts allow for one person to be able to open and close this table smoothly.

This is the largest extension pedestal table we offer. If you would like a larger round extension table, we will need to build a custom design, which will likely be a 4- legged table.
