Brian Boggs Chairmakers: more than just seating
“Highboy” is defined as “a tall chest of drawers on a legged base.” The name itself is derived from a corruption of the French word bois (“wood”) and became common in English in the late 1600s. This custom built highboy in beautiful cherry features inverted cathedral grain sides, more than 300 handcut dovetails, and doors at the top masked as drawers.
We build to order one-of-a-kind projects.
All case goods, such as this highboy, are one-of-a-kind special orders. This is one example of an original custom design built to a client’s specifications. If you would like request a quote on custom work, contact us today.
